Description:
Southbound KCS Kansas City, MO to Queretaro, Mexico loaded grain train GKCQRI27 rolls through De Queen, AR at first light on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Still running in 2x3 DPU configuration for Rich Mountain - KCS ES44AC 4860 and KCS SD70ACe 4040 do the honors on the head end while KCS ES44AC 4767, UP AC4400CW 6631, and KCS SD70ACe 4148 work the rear DP poistion. Just two sidings away at Winthrop, AR this train will be tied down. Shortly after that northbound train OLRKC25 will pluck off the KCS 4148 from the rear of this train to assist with its own climb up Rich Mountain.

Southbound KCS Kansas City, MO to Queretaro, Mexico loaded grain train GKCQRI27 sits in the shade of pine trees where it is tied down in the siding. This train arrived in 2x3 DPU configuration for Rich Mountain with KCS ES44AC 4860 and KCS SD70ACe 4040 on the head end and KCS ES44AC 4767, UP AC4400CW 6631, and KCS SD70ACe 4148 in the rear DP position. Northbound train OLRKC25 just took the 4148 from the rear of the train so it is now in 2x2 configuration.
