BNSF Y-LIN1061-22 Spots Lincoln Steel
Crew members from Yard Job 106 (Helper JA Stanford on left and Foreman BT Paxton on right) dig out the switch from B-1 to Lincoln Steel so that three cars can be spotted. Trainmaster Heath LaRue (center) is also on hand. Empty Ameren Energy coal train sets (RTR - Rush Tower, MO and MAS - Machens, MO) are scheduled to fill at Lincoln to tender of 140 cars if they arrive with fewer cars (due to bad order set outs in cycle). These trains consist of UCEX coal hoppers. The lead to Lincoln Steel (out of business) comes off the B-1 main at the east end of the five F-Track fuel pads used by coal empties and is now where empty UCEX coal cars are staged to be picked up by Rush Tower and Machens empties. Today BNSF Lincoln Yard Job Y-LIN1061-22A is seen using SD40-2 1675 to spot three empty UCEX cars--94130, 96076, and 95214--to Lincoln Steel (Track No. 440). These three cars will be picked up overnight by empty Rush Tower coal train E-RTRCDM0-47.
