P40-8's 809 and 821 are in charge of a 9-car consist: 1187, 39007, 32017, 32037, 38047, 33002, 34069, 39952, and 31029. During the train's layover in Track Five the power will be replaced with P32-8 504 and F40PH 233. On the way out of town five American Orient Express car will be picked up on the rear of the train from Track Three. |

At New Orleans the third car, sleeper 32073 California, was set out for mechanical issues and replaced with sleeper 32105 Oregon. I would ride this train from New Orleans to Lake Charles where I would meet Lowell McManus and begin an epic road trip to Mexico. |
