Album Info:The National Docks Branch runs through Jersey City, NJ, from Croxton Junction at the north end to the east end of Oak Island Yard. Though it is less than five miles long, it features the Bergen Tunnel, a long low trestle across the Communipaw Section of Jersey City, and the Newark Bay Lift Bridge, as well as other good photo locations. The line is used mostly by CSX freights originating or ending at Oak Island Yard, the Port of Newark/Elizabeth, or the ethanol terminals along the Chemical Coast Secondary and heading north/south on the CSX River Line.
