| Album Info: | The preservation organization Railroading Heritage of Midwest America has acquired the former Rock Island/National Railway Equipment Co. shops in Silvis, IL adjacent to the Iowa Interstate line. This will be a top-notch facility for them to restore, display and operate their historic equipment including Union Pacific locomotives 3985, 5511 and 6936, ATSF 537, and many others. My first visit there was for the "Tractors and Trains" event held in October, 2024. |
